The winner of the 2018 FIS Summer Intern Program Best Poster competition went to Khanh Le for his research poster "Investigating Explicit Coupling Between Local and Non-local Interactions in Protein Folding Forcefields."

Mr. Khanh Le is an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston. His mentor for this research was Dr. Nick Schafer (a postdoc in Peter Wolynes' group) from Rice University's Center for Theoretical Biological Physics (CTBP). The CTBP Undergraduate Research Day took place on July 30th in the BioScience Research Collaborative building.

Khanh will continue working at CTBP beginning this September in the retention program with this mentor and his group.
